With more than 25 years of experience and a passion for patient-first care, Dr. John Merrill combines technical excellence with a deeply personal approach to cosmetic dentistry.
Raised in Michigan as the youngest of five, Dr. Merrill grew up in a family devoted to service. His father, a chemical engineer turned Methodist minister in his 30s, and his mother, a social worker and curriculum author for the state of Michigan, inspired his lifelong dedication to helping others.
Dr. Merrill’s clinical skill and gentle approach have earned him national recognition, he’s even been trusted to care for many fellow dentists throughout his career.
He’s one of only 400 dentists worldwide who has completed extensive education to be recognized as an Accredited Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
In 2008, Dr. Merrill and his wife Natalie relocated to North Carolina with six of their eight children. Since then, they’ve made Huntersville their home, where he continues to provide high-level care as a cosmetic dentist, a devoted husband, father, and proud grandfather.
Outside the practice:
Dr. Merrill’s greatest joy comes from family life. He and Natalie are proud parents to eight children—three of whom are adopted—and are now embracing the joys of being grandparents.

Dr. David Bunn brings a unique blend of precision, artistry, and compassion to his work, restoring smiles through general, cosmetic, restorative, and implant dentistry right here in Huntersville, NC.
Originally from Michigan, Dr. Bunn’s path to dentistry began early, inspired by visits to his family’s dentist and summers spent in North Carolina. He saw dentistry as the perfect way to help people while expressing his creative side.
Dr. Bunn began his career in private practice in Michigan before moving south in 2017. Drawn by the lifestyle and warmer weather, he and his wife Carly now call Huntersville home, along with their two sons, Avett and Camden.
Life outside the office:
When he’s not creating confident smiles, you’ll find Dr. Bunn enjoying the outdoors—whether hiking, biking, fishing, golfing, or exploring new places with his family.
