Dr. Jacob Weiss grew up in Clearwater, Florida, where focus, strategy, and discipline shaped much of his early life. As a child, he became a top 100 nationally ranked competitive chess player for his age. He also stayed active through tennis and competitive swimming during high school.
After high school, Dr. Weiss attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He graduated magna cum laude with a degree in art history. His background in art helped shape the way he views dentistry today. He understands that great dental care takes both skill and an eye for detail.
Dr. Weiss then went on to earn his dental degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, graduating in 2017. After dental school, he completed a general practice residency at the V.A. Hospital in Denver, Colorado. His residency focused on surgery, dental implant placement, and extractions. This advanced training gave him valuable experience caring for patients with a wide range of dental needs.
In 2018, Dr. Weiss moved to Charlotte to support his wife’s career after she was accepted into a physician assistant residency program through Atrium Health. She continues her career there today. Since moving to North Carolina, Dr. Weiss has spent the past seven years working in a multi-doctor private practice, where he served as the lead dentist.
Dr. Weiss is most passionate about building real connections with his patients. He believes that strong dental care starts with trust. By taking time to understand each patient’s concerns, goals, and comfort level, he helps people feel heard and supported throughout their care.

Outside The Office
When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Weiss enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife have two young daughters, Nora and Lennon, along with their 30-pound Irish doodle, Sansa, who is still very much a puppy at heart.
Dentistry also runs in his family. Dr. Weiss has an older brother who practices dentistry in the Chicago area.
